EC re-collation: These are the winners of the 9 outstanding parliamentary seats so far

The Electoral Commission (EC) has initiated the recollation of parliamentary results in nine constituencies following a directive from the Accra High Court.

The exercise aims to resolve disputes arising from irregularities identified during the initial collation process.

The affected constituencies span multiple regions and include:

  • Nsawam-Adoagyiri (Eastern Region)
  • Ahafo Ano South West and Ahafo Ano North (Ashanti Region)
  • Obuasi East (Ashanti Region)
  • Dome-Kwabenya, Okaikwei Central, Ablekuma North, and Tema Central (Greater Accra Region)
  • Techiman South (Bono East Region)

The High Court directed the EC to finalise and declare results in these constituencies in strict compliance with electoral laws.

To ensure a smooth process, the Inspector-General of Police has deployed police and military personnel to collation centres.

The heightened security presence is aimed at preventing disruptions and ensuring transparency.

The re-collation, held at the EC’s Greater Accra Regional Office, is being conducted under tight security.

Results have already been declared for several constituencies, including Nsawam-Adoagyiri and Obuasi East, both retained by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The EC is expected to declare results for Dome-Kwabenya, Ablekuma North, and other constituencies in the coming days as the process continues. Party representatives and election observers remain on-site to monitor the exercise closely.

The EC has assured stakeholders of its commitment to maintaining electoral integrity throughout the process. Updates on the remaining constituencies will be provided as the recollation exercise progresses.

This is a developing story, and further details will be shared as they become available.
