The Supreme Court’s decision nullifies recollated results by the Electoral Commission (EC), which had declared the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate as the winner in Tema Central.
The initial results had previously seen Ebi Bright emerge victorious.
This ruling overturns a controversial recollection process conducted by the EC and challenges the subsequent declarations made for the affected constituencies.
Reflecting on the experience, she emphasized its significance in equipping her and the NDC to better serve their constituents.
“This experience equips us to represent a lot better. It’s important that everybody understands this is just the beginning of our work,” she remarked.
Ebi Bright extended her gratitude to supporters and well-wishers while delivering a festive message to her constituency.
“We are very grateful for the opportunity, and we want to say to Ghanaians and our constituency, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,” she added.
