CTVET Opens Registration for 2025 May/June Certificate II and Technical Examinations

The Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) has announced the opening of the 2025 May/June Certificate II Examinations and other technical examinations registration.

The exercise, which falls under the Commission’s mandate to regulate, promote, and administer TVET programs as per the Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020 (Act 1023), is set to commence on Thursday, 13th February 2025, and close at midnight on Thursday, 20th March 2025.

With no anticipated extensions, CTVET urges all heads of institutions and prospective candidates to adhere strictly to the registration timeline.

Candidates are required to register through the official May/June registration portal at www.mayjune.ctvet.gov.gh.To ensure accuracy, applicants must verify the correct spelling and arrangement of their names before the system is exported for processing.

Heads of institutions must guarantee that all eligible students are registered within the five-week window. Only regular/school candidates are permitted to register.

  • Candidates should verify they are enrolled in the correct program before the registration deadline.
  • Continuous assessment marks (30%) must be compiled and entered for Certificate II candidates only.
  • DBS first-time candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:
    1. Five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level passes, including English and Mathematics.
    2. RSA or Ghana Commercial Examinations Stage II with passes in four (4) subjects, including English and Mathematics.
    3. SSS/SSSCE/WASSCE with four (4) passes, including English and Mathematics.
  • Each candidate must register for a minimum of five (5) subjects.
  • Technical Drawing is compulsory for all third-year candidates, except those pursuing Hospitality and Catering Management, Cosmetology, Fashion Designing Technology, Printing, and General Textiles.

All examination fees must be paid directly to CTVET, as outlined in the fee schedule available on the registration portal. Heads of institutions should ensure that the correct fees for each candidate are processed accordingly.

Candidates must upload a 3 cm x 3 cm passport-size photograph with a white background during registration.

CTVET will not accept manually submitted registrations and bears no responsibility for errors in spelling or name arrangement once the system is processed. In case of difficulties during registration, institutions and candidates may seek assistance by contacting CTVET at Tel: 024 497 9869.
