The Daily Guide reports that Michael Essien’s homes in East Legon and Trassaco are set for auctioning.
The sale order was issued on June 12, 2024, by the Deputy Sheriff of the Commercial Division of the High Court.
The homes in question may be found in Accra at Trassaco (Phase 2), Adjiringano (House Number 204/205), and Stephen Quarshie Crescent, East Legon (House Number 9).
One of the properties is estimated to be worth between $20 million and $30 million, according to an auctioneer who wished to remain unnamed.
Before going to Olympique Lyonnais, Essien started his career in France with Bastia. His impressive displays there caught Chelsea’s attention, and he eventually joined the ranks of the Premier League’s top paid players there.
Essien won multiple trophies at Chelsea, including a UEFA Champions League trophy and Premier League crowns.
The former Ghanaian international gained recognition for his midfield skills throughout the world while playing for other elite teams like AC Milan and Real Madrid.
Despite making a sizable salary during his playing career, Essien, an assistant coach at FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark, has faced difficulties in his business and investing endeavours after he retired from professional football.
