Central Regional NPP chairman Robert Kutin Junior passes away

The Central Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Robert Kutin Junior, has passed away. He was pronounced dead at approximately 10:00 p.m. in Accra on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

Mr. Kutin’s death follows a prolonged battle with an undisclosed illness over the past seven months, during which he was unable to participate in the 2024 election campaign.

The sad news was confirmed by the Central Regional Secretary, Richard Takyi Mensah, in an interview with Puretvonline.com.

Robert Kutin Junior was a prominent figure in the NPP, having successfully retained his position as the Central Regional Chairman in 2022 after defeating Joseph Kobina Essibu.

His leadership and commitment to the party were widely recognised, and his passing is a significant loss to the NPP and the Central Region.

Mr. Kutin’s absence from the 2024 campaign due to ill health underscored the challenges he faced in his final months. His contributions to the party and his dedication to its growth will be remembered fondly by colleagues and supporters alike.

The NPP and the entire Central Region mourn the loss of a committed leader whose legacy will continue to inspire many within the party.

Further details about funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in the coming days.
