Ato Forson, Dominic Ayine, and Jinapor to Be Vetted Today

Parliament’s Appointments Committee will today, Monday, January 13, 2025, vet three of President John Mahama’s key ministerial nominees: Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, and John Abdulai Jinapor.

Dr. Ato Forson, the Member of Parliament for Ajumako-Enyan-Esiam and current Majority Leader, is the Minister-designate for Finance.

He is expected to face the committee first, where his financial expertise and vision for Ghana’s economic recovery will come under scrutiny.

Next in line is Dr. Dominic Ayine, nominated as Attorney General and Minister of Justice.

The committee will assess his legal qualifications and his plans to uphold justice and strengthen the country’s legal system.

John Abdulai Jinapor, the energy minister-designate, will round off the day’s proceedings as he outlines his strategies for ensuring a stable and sustainable energy supply across the nation.

The vetting process is part of efforts to ensure that only capable and qualified individuals are appointed to lead critical government ministries.
