Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the founder and general overseer of Action Chapel International, has received his first-ever nomination for the prestigious Ghana Movie Awards.
The revered spiritual leader earned a spot in the Cameo Actor category for his role in the movie A Taste of Sin, directed by Frank Rajah Arase.
The nomination comes ahead of the awards ceremony scheduled for December 24, 2024, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). The Ghana Movie Awards is a celebrated platform that acknowledges excellence in Ghana’s film industry, spotlighting the talents of actors, directors, and other contributors who have significantly impacted the cinematic landscape.
This year’s event will feature 21 award categories, including notable accolades like Achievement in Cinematography, Directing, Editing, Costume and Wardrobe, Production Design, and Sound Mixing and Editing.
Other key categories include Best Short Movie, Best Documentary, Best Movie African Collaboration, and the coveted Best Picture award.

Actor in a Leading Role nominees include Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, James Gardiner, Adjetey Anang, Anthony Woode, and Jeffery Nortey.
Actresses in a Leading Role contenders feature Nadia Buari, Jackie Appiah, Nana Ama McBrown, Emelia Brobbey, Bless Fortune, and Habiba Sinare.
Recognising Rising Stars
The Discovery of the Year category will honour emerging talent, with nominees such as Rosemond Brown (Akuapim Poloo), Frank Ntiamoah, Martina Dwamena (Asantewaa), Mawena Azumah, Quesh, Sherita Adu, and Augustina Aboabo vying for the title.
Fred Nuamah, CEO of the Ghana Movie Awards, has promised a glamorous and unforgettable evening, emphasising the event’s strict formal dress code. Men are expected to wear tuxedos or Kente, while women are encouraged to shine in elegant evening gowns.
