Alan Kyerematen promises ‘3 Million Jobs Platform’ to combat youth unemployment

The presidential candidate for the Movement for Change, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, has announced a bold initiative aimed at tackling youth unemployment in Ghana.

He disclosed plans to launch an app called the “3 Million Jobs Platform,” which will create a vast number of job opportunities for Ghanaian youth if he is elected in the 2024 elections.

Kyerematen explained that this platform is part of his strategic approach to addressing Ghana’s economic challenges. By leveraging digital tools, the app aims to provide employment opportunities for young people across all sectors, including those with minimal educational qualifications.

The app, Kyerematen stated, is more than just a campaign promise. It reflects his forward-thinking approach to governance, as he has already been preparing the groundwork to ensure its swift implementation.

“I needed to prepare those skills in the market before coming into power, not to wait until I become president before thinking of what to do for you, the youth,” he said, emphasising his proactive mindset.

He further promised that the 3 million jobs platform app would be rolled out within the first year and a half of his presidency. The project is designed to absorb and empower Ghana’s young population, giving them access to meaningful employment and contributing to national development.

Amidst the current economic hardships in the country, Kyerematen urged Ghanaians to vote for him, positioning himself as the candidate best equipped to bring about positive change. “This is a solution-driven approach to addressing the economic difficulties we face,” he added, highlighting his vision for a prosperous future for Ghana’s youth.

He made these statements in a one-on-one interview with Kwadwo Sheldon.
