One Map Africa donates to Teshie Orphanage in memory of Kwame Nkrumah

In a heartwarming display of unity and generosity, One Map Africa (OMA), a non-governmental organisation aimed at fostering unity across African nations, marked Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day by making a significant donation to the Teshie Orphanage Home.

The event commenced at the Kwame Nkrumah Museum and proceeded to the orphanage, where the donation was made.

OMA’s project manager, Mr. Gilbert Boakye, addressed journalists during the ceremony, emphasising the importance of self-motivation and collective efforts to foster unity within the country.

“We must all encourage ourselves and continue working towards the development of unity across the nation,” he urged.

Mr. Emmanuel Kwaku Boahene, Deputy Chairman of OMA, explained the organisation’s decision to donate to Teshie Orphanage Home.

“Teshie is my home,” he revealed, stressing the importance of giving back to the community where one was raised.

He encouraged others to do the same by investing in the development of their roots.

The Home’s management, represented by Mr. Obed T. Mensah, expressed deep gratitude for the support provided by One Map Africa.

He took the opportunity to appeal to other organisations to follow suit, underscoring the ongoing needs of the orphanage.

The event not only honoured the legacy of Ghana’s first president, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, but also reflected OMA’s commitment to promoting unity and supporting those in need across the continent.
