Apple, Samsung, Viet Nam and Sunil Mittal Shine as GSMA Announces 2026 GLOMO Awards Winners

The GSMA has announced the winners of the 31st annual Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards and the 4YFN26 Awards at MWC26 Barcelona, recognising the boldest innovations and most promising startups shaping the future of the mobile and digital ecosystems.

2026 GLOMO Awards

More than 30 awards were presented across six categories, judged by a panel of over 250 independent experts from around the world. This year’s edition introduced six new award categories reflecting the industry’s accelerating focus on AI, financial innovation, and digital inclusion.

Key winners include:

• Chairman’s Award: Doreen Bogdan-Martin (ITU Secretary-General) and Kelly Clements (UN Deputy High Commissioner for Refugees) were recognised for their work keeping the world connected in crisis.
• Lifetime Achievement Award: Sunil Bharti Mittal, Founder and Chairman, Bharti Enterprises
• Government Leadership Award: Socialist Republic of Viet Nam
• CTO Choice – Outstanding Mobile Technology Award: LG Uplus for iXi Guardian
• Best Smartphone: Apple iPhone 17 Pro series
• Best in Show: Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra

4YFN26 Awards

Spanish health tech startup Biorce has been crowned the winner of the 4YFN26 Awards, claiming the title and a €20,000 cash prize following an onstage pitching competition judged by a panel of five investors and industry experts from AT&T Ventures, Indico Capital, Notion Capital, Samsung Next, and T.Capital.

Biorce, which automates clinical trial operations using AI agents, was selected from five finalists representing the best of the global startup ecosystem across Climate Tech, Digital Horizons, Fintech, Health Tech, and Mobile Frontiers.
