aYo Insures Millions, Hits GH¢100 Million Revenue in 2025

The Chief Executive Officer of aYo Intermediaries Ghana, Francis Gota, has revealed that the company recorded a 41 per cent revenue growth, rising from GH¢71 million to GH¢100 million in 2025, while paying out about GH¢14 million in insurance claims, more than double its payouts in the previous year.

Speaking at the aYo Excellence and Thanksgiving Awards, Mr Gota described 2025 as a “defining year” for the company, marked by resilience, adaptation, and strong partnerships despite operational challenges such as system disruptions and power outages.

“God has been good to us. The year stretched us and tested our patience, but what stood out most was our response,” he said, commending staff and partners for staying focused even under difficult conditions.

According to Mr Gota, the jump from GH¢71 million to GH¢100 million reflects a strong and growing adoption of insurance among underserved communities, reinforcing aYo’s mission of deepening financial inclusion.

“This growth shows that insurance works. And aYo is making insurance work for the people,” he stated.

He explained that beyond revenue, the true impact lies in protection, noting that the company insured millions of lives and delivered timely financial relief to families and small businesses facing health emergencies, income loss, and unexpected shocks.

In 2025 alone, aYo paid approximately GH¢14 million in claims, providing crucial support to thousands of households.

“This is real protection, not just numbers,” Mr Gota emphasised. “It is about strengthening household resilience and reinforcing insurance as a trusted financial safety net in Ghana.”

The CEO stressed that financial inclusion goes beyond technology, insisting it is achieved through people working together, listening, and continuously adapting to real human needs.

“Our vision is clear: a future where everybody uses insurance, not just buys it,” he said.

Mr Gota praised the aYo team and partners for their professionalism, unity, and commitment, describing them as the backbone of the company’s success. He also acknowledged long-standing partnerships dating back to April 4, 2017, underscoring the importance of collaboration in aYo’s growth journey.

Expressing optimism about the future of insurance in Africa, Mr Gota said success would belong to companies that collaborate openly, adapt quickly, and remain deeply human in their approach.

“As we celebrate these milestones GH¢100 million in revenue and GH¢14 million in claims let us also celebrate the sacrifices, lessons, and relationships that made them possible,” he concluded.

He thanked staff, partners, regulators, and customers for their trust and resilience, urging all stakeholders to remain inspired to do even more in the years ahead.
