“God Still Made A Way”—Alabaster Box Acappella Shares Journey Of Faith, Rejection, And Breakthrough

Renowned gospel acappella music group Alabaster Box have opened up about the difficult and often discouraging journey that shaped their rise in ministry, revealing how faith carried them through rejection, closed doors, and missed opportunities.

In an interaction with Puretvonline.com, members of the group disclosed that growing up in a music ministry was far from easy, despite their passion and clear calling.

According to them, one of their earliest major breakthroughs nearly slipped away when they were presented with an opportunity to travel to South Africa, a trip that would have marked their first international assignment as a group. However, the excitement was short-lived.

“One of our pastors did not permit us to travel,” the group recounted. “He told us plainly that the church choir must first go to Togo before we will be allowed to travel to South Africa”.

At the time, the decision was crushing, threatening to halt what could have been a defining moment for the group. But Alabaster Box says their story did not end there.

“God still made a way,” they said.

Against all odds, they had an opportunity to travel to Australia to minister and on their way, they slept at South Africa though they missed the South Africa ministration.

According to them, support came from unexpected sources, and through what they describe as divine provision from different channels, the group eventually travelled to Australia, where they ministered successfully.

The group shared another striking experience involving an invitation to minister at a church in the United Kingdom. According to them, a foreign pastor had requested a recommendation from a renowned Ghanaian man of God before extending the invitation.

However, the response was discouraging.

“The Ghanaian pastor told the foreign pastor that he could not vouch for us because we were not members of his church,” the group revealed.

Despite the setback, Alabaster Box says they once again witnessed what they believe was God’s intervention. The U.K ministry went ahead with the invitation, and the group travelled and ministered as planned.

In a twist of events, the same Ghanaian pastor who declined to recommend them was also invited to the same church.

“He was surprised when he saw us there ministering,” the group said.
