The Adentan Circuit Court has remanded Evans Eshun, popularly known on social media as Ebo Noah, into police custody and ordered him to undergo a psychiatric examination at a government facility before his next court appearance.
The order was made when the accused was brought before the court, presided over by Her Honour Angela Attachie, which directed that Eshun be remanded to reappear on January 15, 2026.
Ebo Noah, identified by the prosecution as a 33-year-old private security guard, is facing charges stemming from a series of social media videos he published between August and December 2025 on Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube under the name @Ebonoah.

In the videos, he claimed that the world would be destroyed by a flood on 25th December 2025 and that he was building an ark to save people.
According to the prosecution, however, the statements were made without lawful authority and were intended to cause fear and panic among the public.
The Ghana Police Service, which is the complainant in the case, said the accused was arrested on December 31, 2025, following an intelligence-led operation at Weija-Gbawe in the Greater Accra Region.
During investigations, Ebo Noah is said to have admitted in a cautioned statement to making and circulating the videos.
He, however, explained that the boat he referred to as an “ark” did not belong to him but to a fisherman at a boatyard in Edina in the Central Region.
He is said to have further admitted that his claims about an impending flood were false. He is on trial for the count of publication of false news with intent to cause fear and panic.
The case has been adjourned to January 15, 2026.
