General Secretary of Diplomatic Envoy Globalisation, Samuel Aryeequaye, has called on Ghanaian youth to transform their innate abilities into economic opportunities, stressing that talent is one of the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of unemployment.
Addressing participants at the Youth Week Celebration of the Disciples of Christ Ministries at Weija Junction, Mr Aryeequaye said history has repeatedly shown that individuals who recognise and refine their natural gifts often rise above limitations to achieve greatness.

He expressed concern that Ghana’s rising unemployment crisis is partly fuelled by an education system that prioritises theory over practical skill-building. The outcome, he explained, is that thousands of capable young people graduate each year only to remain jobless, despite possessing unique talents.
“Our society has conditioned young people to believe that success is found only in certificates. Meanwhile, many are gifted in areas that can be nurtured into thriving careers and businesses,” he noted.
Mr Aryeequaye emphasised that God has endowed every human being with a special talent and that discovering and developing these gifts is essential to economic empowerment.
He lamented that many young people struggle to unearth their abilities, while others who identify their strengths early often lack the mentorship and support needed to transform them into profitable ventures.

He added that parental opposition remains another stumbling block, as some parents discourage their children from following non-traditional career paths.
He therefore urged young Ghanaians to remain committed to their passions, invest in improving their skills, and boldly transform their talents into viable income streams.
He stressed that when the youth embrace their gifts, they do not only uplift themselves but also contribute significantly to the growth of the nation.
