This year’s celebration will be held under the theme “Culture to Deepen Our Identity and Drive Progress.”
In his remarks, the minister expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the eight personnel and fondly remembered the late Dr Edward Omane Boamah, acknowledging his immense contributions and unwavering support throughout his political journey.
Hon. Sam George, who also serves as Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, praised the Traditional Council’s dedication to preserving heritage and fostering community development.
He pledged his support for the successful organisation of the durbar and committed to working on initiatives that would create sustainable employment opportunities for the youth.
“As a proud son of this land, I believe our culture is a powerful tool not only for preserving our history but also for driving socio-economic transformation. I look forward to joining the people of Prampram in celebrating our heritage and exploring new opportunities for our young people,” he stated.
The visit also served as a platform for discussions on enhancing the Grand Durbar’s impact, securing sponsorships, and strengthening collaboration between the Ministry and the Council.
Nene Tetteh Waka III emphasised that the Grand Durbar remains one of the most important events on the Prampram traditional calendar, attracting traditional leaders, government dignitaries, and guests from across Ghana and beyond.
