A student from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), affiliated with Unity Hall, is receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after being stabbed multiple times during a violent altercation at a New Patriotic Party (NPP) event in Bantama, Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred on Tuesday at the Bantama Pentecost Church during a “Thank You” tour event, where the student was part of a Jama group hired by Kennedy Agyapong’s team to energise the gathering.

Eyewitnesses reported that a wealthy associate of Agyapong gifted money to the group, prompting an attack by heavily built, gun-wielding men alleged to be linked to the NPP. A confrontation ensued, with gunshots heard, and the student was stabbed in the chaos.
The victim was quickly transported to the hospital’s emergency unit.
Kennedy Agyapong and his team have filed a complaint with the Kumasi Central Police Command. As of now, no arrests have been made.
