Dr Eric Oduro Osae has officially ended his tenure as the Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA).
In a statement released on April 17, 2025, Dr Osae thanked stakeholders for their support during his time in office. “I want to use this opportunity to thank all of you for the support, advice, and opportunity to be of service to God and country,” he said.
A respected expert in governance and public financial management, Dr Osae is credited with strengthening Ghana’s internal audit systems and promoting transparency and accountability in the public sector.

During his time at the IAA, he led several reforms to improve financial controls in public institutions and helped enhance the credibility of internal audit work across government agencies.
His departure marks the end of a period of steady progress at the agency, with many praising his commitment to public service and good governance.
