Renowned Ghanaian preacher and leader of Perez Chapel International, Bishop Charles Agyinasare, has cautioned young people against prioritising sexual intimacy during the dating phase, warning that it could lead to poor relationship decisions.
In a viral video posted on February 17, 2025, the respected clergyman emphasised that dating is meant for understanding one’s partner, not engaging in sexual activities.
“Dating is not for mating or coupling,” Bishop Agyin Asare stressed. “When you start going out with somebody, it’s not for you to have sex together because mating will cloud your judgement. Your period of dating is the time to gather data.”

According to him, those who allow physical intimacy to take over their relationships risk ignoring red flags, making it harder to objectively assess their partner’s character and values.
The bishop warned that failing to thoroughly evaluate a partner before marriage could result in long-term problems, including unhappy marriages and broken homes.
