Nollywood icon Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has spoken candidly about the scars left on her stomach following gallbladder removal surgery, affirming that they will not diminish her self-confidence.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Saturday, February 15, the award-winning actress reflected on her journey to recovery after undergoing the life-saving procedure in late 2024.
Sharing a behind-the-scenes video from a recent photoshoot, Omotola admitted that while she once considered her abdomen one of her best features, the surgery had altered its appearance.

“Late in 2024, I had emergency surgery. My tummy is one of the best parts of my body, but it is not so perfect now,” she revealed.
During the shoot, she instinctively adjusted her outfit, only to hear a self-critical voice in her head whispering that she had nothing to show anymore. However, instead of dwelling on insecurity, she quickly shut down the thought.
“Not me! What will shake my confidence has not been created. I smiled and danced. I’m alive; it’s just scars. Some people’s scars are physical, while some are emotional,” she wrote.
Omotola’s post has sparked widespread admiration, with fans praising her for embracing her scars and promoting self-love.
