The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has reiterated the government’s commitment to holding former officials of the Akufo-Addo administration accountable for alleged corruption.
In a video circulating on social media and cited by Citi Newsroom on Sunday, February 16, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah assured Ghanaians that all individuals implicated in corruption cases will face justice, including former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
“Wherever Ken Ofori-Atta is hiding, we will find him by all means. He must avail himself for questioning on multiple cases. All former officials implicated in corruption will be compelled to face the law,” he declared.

His statement reinforces the NDC government’s anti-corruption agenda, a key campaign promise in the 2024 elections.
Mr. Asiedu Nketiah’s remarks follow the submission of 2,417 corruption-related complaints to the Attorney General for investigation. These complaints were gathered through the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative, which invited the public to report corruption cases.
The complaints have since been handed over to the President at the Jubilee House, marking a significant step in the government’s accountability efforts.
The NDC Chairman emphasised that the fight against corruption will not be selective, adding that even members of the current administration will be held accountable if found guilty of wrongdoing.
“We will tighten the noose on accountability, and even elements within this government who engage in corrupt activities will not go scot-free,” he warned.
With mounting pressure from civil society and the opposition, many are eager to see how the NDC government will execute its anti-corruption agenda and whether these investigations will lead to prosecutions and asset recoveries.
