The viral video, which features Okomfo Kwadee singing some of his old hit songs, has left many fans heartbroken. Radio personality Maximous Mensah, popularly known as Dr. Pounds, also shared the video with a heartfelt message:

His post echoes the sentiments of many within the entertainment industry who are deeply concerned about the deteriorating condition of the hiplife star.

Over the years, several prominent musicians and industry figures have made attempts to help Kwadee regain stability. Notably, renowned music producer Abraham Ohene Djan and former hiplife artist turned pastor, Evangelist Lord Kenya, have previously sought to secure medical assistance for him. However, their efforts were reportedly obstructed by resistance from Kwadee’s family, making it difficult to provide the necessary care.

Concerns about Kwadee’s well-being intensified towards the end of last year when another video emerged showing him struggling with mental health challenges. This latest development has reignited calls for urgent intervention from both the music industry and the general public.

Born Jerry Anaba, Okomfo Kwadee rose to fame in the early 2000s with classic hiplife hits such as Boyz Boyz, Ofie Nipa, Meko M’anim, Yeko Mmaa Pe, Abrantie, and Ataa Adwoa. His unique storytelling style and distinctive voice cemented his status as a legend in Ghana’s music scene.

As concerns grow over his well-being, Captain Planet’s plea serves as a wake-up call for the industry to rally behind one of its own before it’s too late.
