“We are excited to introduce the 2025 DV plate, which represents a significant improvement in vehicle registration and licensing in Ghana. The new plate demonstrates the Authority’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance security and convenience for its customers,” he stated.

The 2025 DV plate officially became available on January 30, 2025, and can be acquired at any DVLA office nationwide. It is intended for use by vehicle owners, automobile dealers, distributors, freight forwarders, and agents.

As part of efforts to combat the illegal use and sale of counterfeit DV plates, the DVLA is collaborating with the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service to apprehend individuals engaged in unauthorised activities.

The introduction of these enhanced security measures underscores the DVLA’s ongoing efforts to streamline vehicle registration, improve road safety, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in the transport sector.
