‘I have no idea about this’ – Sarkodie reacts to claim of ignoring Kofi Mole’s ‘Makoma’ music video shoot

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has denied claims of refusing to avail himself for the video shoot of Kofi Mole’s song ‘Makoma’.

According to Kofi Mole, several attempts to get Sarkodie to be featured in the music video proved futile, as the rapper showed no concern.

Kofi Mole disclosed this in a response to anX user who complained that Kofi Mole did not do enough to promote the song in which he featured Sarkodie.

“One day ago, Kanta boys organised make we put Kofi Mole for table make we lash am. Promo no enter this song inside koraa. “You made a whole Sarkodie turn Bruno Mars,” the social media user wrote in Pidgin English.

In his response, Kofi wrote : “I was ready to shoot a video but never got any response from Sark and the team after multiple texts and calls. I let that slide.”

In a phone interview on Daybreak Hitz on Tuesday, January 28, Yaw Skyface, the director for the ‘Makoma’ video, reiterated Kofi Mole’s claim.

According to him, Sarkodie ignored two separate dates which were scheduled for Sarkodie to join the recording sessions for the collaborative song ‘Makoma’ but he was absent on both occasions.

“We set [up] two dates and King Sark did not show up,” he stated.

Meanwhile, responding to an X post of Yaw Skyface’s story, Sarkodie wrote : “Yaa monma me din nda kakra me sr3 mo. [I] have no idea about this and if it actually happened there was miscommunication somewhere only responding to this cos I got love for my superstar @kofi_mole.” I don’t play games … I’m in or not.”
