Ghanaian reggae and dancehall icon Emmanuel Andrews Samini, known in the music world as Samini, has revealed that his much-anticipated next album will be released before the second quarter of 2025.
The multiple award-winning artist confirmed the exciting news during an exclusive interview with JoyNews’ Becky, sharing that he had a productive 2024 and has been diligently working on new material for his fans.
Samini assured listeners that the album is “ready” and should be out by mid-2025.

“I’ve been working on new material, and I have an album coming out in 2025. Everything is ready, and we should have the album out before the second quarter,” Samini stated with enthusiasm.
He further hinted that music lovers can expect a single to be released before February, giving fans a taste of what’s to come.
Samini’s career began at the age of 14 when he started singing in his church choir, and he turned professional in 1999 after collaborating with another artist.
He first gained widespread attention with his debut album, Dankwasere, in 2004, which topped local charts and earned him two prestigious Ghana Music Awards, thanks to the success of the hit single “Linda.”
Over the years, Samini has established himself as a powerhouse in the reggae and dancehall scene. He has shared the stage with renowned artists like Sean Paul, Akon, Shaggy, Damian Marley, and Jay-Z and has collaborated with reggae legends like Steel Pulse and Etana.
His international acclaim has seen him tour the UK, Germany, Italy, Canada, and the Netherlands.
Samini’s talent has not gone unnoticed on the global stage. He won the “Best African Act” at the 2006 MOBO Awards and took home three awards at the 2007 Ghana Music Awards. In 2008, Samini was named “African Artiste of the Year” at The Headies. His third album, Dagaati, followed in 2008, and his 7th studio album, UNTAMED, released in 2018, won Reggaeville’s Album of the Year award.
