In the new lineup, Mahama Ayariga, the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, has been appointed as the majority leader, succeeding Dr. Forson.
Ayariga is expected to bring his extensive parliamentary experience to bear in his new role as he leads the Majority Caucus through Ghana’s legislative agenda.
Kweku George Ricketts-Hagan, the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South, has been named the Deputy Majority Leader. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to bolster the leadership team with his expertise and political acumen.
Other notable changes include the appointment of Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, MP for South Dayi, as the majority chief whip, replacing Governs Agbodza. Dafeamekpor’s role will be pivotal in ensuring party discipline and unity among members of the Majority Caucus.
Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, the Member of Parliament for Ada Constituency, has been designated as the First Deputy Whip, bringing her wealth of experience and dedication to the position. Richard Acheampong, MP for Bia East, takes on the role of Second Deputy Majority Whip, completing the new leadership team.
