President John Dramani Mahama has officially sworn in six ministerial appointees, following their parliamentary approval on Tuesday, January 21.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Jubilee House, marks the beginning of their tenure in key roles aimed at advancing the government’s agenda for national development.
The newly sworn-in ministers include:
- Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Minister for Finance
- Dr. Dominic Ayine as Attorney General
- John Jinapor as Minister for Energy and Green Transition
- Haruna Iddrisu as Minister for Education
- Eric Opoku as Minister for Food and Agriculture
- Governs Kwame Agbodza as Minister for Roads and Highways
These appointments are part of President Mahama’s first wave of ministerial nominations, all of whom were subjected to a rigorous vetting process by the Appointments Committee of Parliament before securing approval.
In his address, President Mahama expressed confidence in the capabilities of the new ministers to deliver on their respective mandates, underscoring the critical nature of their portfolios in driving the government’s developmental objectives.
“The roles you have been appointed to are integral to our national development. I trust in your ability to execute your duties diligently and in service to the people of Ghana,” the President stated.
