Parliament has unanimously approved the nomination of Kwame Agbodza as Minister for Roads and Highways following his vetting by the Appointments Committee.
In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, Agbodza expressed deep gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for the opportunity to serve, as well as to Parliament for their constructive assessment and endorsement.
“I am deeply honoured and humbled by this high honour and the confidence reposed in me by His Excellency the President. I pledge to work hard to justify this trust,” Agbodza stated.

He acknowledged the critical responsibility entrusted to him, promising to lead the roads sector in alignment with President Mahama’s vision to reset Ghana’s infrastructure.
As he prepares to take office, Agbodza reaffirmed his commitment to diligent service and an open-door policy, calling on stakeholders for feedback and support.
“I have no doubt that together, we shall make significant contributions to advancing the vision of His Excellency the President to reset Ghana and reset our infrastructure,” he added.
