VIDEO: She was cheating and I don’t regret killing her – Man confesses of beheading woman

A 32-year-old man, Timileyin Ajayi, has confessed to the brutal killing and dismembering of 24-year-old National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member Salome Adaidu, allegedly over infidelity.

Ajayi, who was apprehended by the Nasarawa State Police with the victim’s severed head, has been remanded in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Lafia, the state capital.

Ajayi, in a chilling confession, explained that the murder was sparked by his discovery of Salome’s alleged unfaithfulness.

He revealed that he found incriminating messages between her and other men on her phone, leading to an emotional outburst that culminated in the horrific crime.

“I killed her because we don’t have each other all the time… She was cheating,” Ajayi said in an interview with Channels TV. He also expressed no regret for his actions, justifying the crime by claiming that “life is reciprocal.”

Salome’s family was horrified to learn that Ajayi not only killed her but also mutilated her body. Her uncle, Samson Adaidu, described how the victim’s body was found dismembered into over 50 pieces, with the remains disposed of in several polythene bags.

Salome’s family, who had never met Ajayi before, are demanding justice for the cruel act. Her sister, Esther Adaidu, said, “We don’t know him… He murdered and dismembered our sister.”

The Nasarawa State Police, led by Police Public Relations Officer SP Ramhan Nansel, assured that a thorough investigation is underway, and Ajayi will face prosecution once the investigation is concluded.

“If found guilty, he will not be spared,” Nansel emphasised, calling for anyone with further complaints about Ajayi to come forward.

Salome, who was serving her NYSC with Nicon Insurance in Abuja, had visited Ajayi at his residence in New Karshi, Karu Local Government Area, shortly before the tragic incident took place.

The case has shocked many, with widespread calls for justice as the investigation continues.
