Kwabena Mensah, a 30-year-old man, has been lynched by his friends at Kasoa Ofaakor in the Awutu Senya East District of the Central region.
It is been reported that Kwabena met his untimely end following a quarrel over GH200.
According to a police source, Kwabena and his companions are thought to be Asafo members of Kasoa Odupong Ofaako Stool.
They thus proceeded to an estate developer’s location to demand a GH7,000 fine from him for disobeying the noise-making prohibition.
The developer disregarded the traditional authorities’ order, even though nobody was meant to be working during that time.
The brother of the late Edem Saglo, Kofi, stated to an Adom News reporter that they went to another developer and demanded GH200 after receiving the money.
When Kwabena faced his pals in the morning to get his portion of the money, things got hot.
Beards and Baddest Shatta were two of the assailants that Edem recognised.
On Sunday night, about 11:00 p.m., Kwabena was attacked at a location where they were having drinks.
He described how the suspects arrived with sticks and stones.
One of them struck Sedem [with a stick] in an attempt to instill calm, and he lost consciousness.
“Some witnesses poured water to resuscitate me, but when I became alright, my brother was in a terrible state. We rushed him to the hospital but he died,” he narrated.
The suspects are at large, and the case has been reported at
