The Bawumia Campaign Team’s communications officer, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has declared that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, lacks trust, and that trust will be the foundation of the general elections in 2024.
He said that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is the best person to turn around Ghana’s economic fortunes, not Mahama, who he described as a failure as president.
In an interview with Selorm Adonoo for Channel One TV’s current affairs show, The Big Issue, monitored by Puretvonline.com, the former MCE for Akuapem North stated that John Dramani Mahama will not be doing anything new for Ghana when he returns to office as president.
He declared that the former president’s evaluation will be based on the mistakes and misfortunes he inflicted upon the Ghanaian people while in office.
“It is not that John Mahama is coming to build a new Ghana. He has been president before, and a lot of people will be in for a shock come December 7, and we have been on the ground, listening to the sentiments of the people, and we are going to work with that.”
“We are going to appraise Mahama based on what he was able to do as president, and he is going to be held accountable. Bawumia has not been president before, and we are going to look at the two of them to see who we can trust to take us into the future. I do not doubt that the people of Ghana have no trust in John Mahama because of the way he handled and led us when we had difficulties.”
