Two young Ghanaian students are making waves in the tech world after emerging top winners at this year’s Coolest Projects Ghana 2025, a prestigious technology showcase that celebrates creativity, coding, and innovation among students.
Phil-Manuel Kpobi, a 12-year-old student from Sterling International School and proud member of the Ghana Code Club, won the Favourite Project award with his groundbreaking Agro App, developed using the Python-based Flet framework.
The Agro App is designed to connect farmers directly to traders, eliminating middlemen, ensuring fair prices, reducing post-harvest losses, and improving food distribution systems in Ghana and beyond.

Meanwhile, 11-year-old Monalisa Akanpaaba from Bridge Roses Montessori School emerged as the Favourite AI Project Winner and was crowned Rising Star of AI.
MonaLisa’s innovation, School Help Buddy, is an AI-powered learning assistant built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and integrated AI frameworks. The app helps schoolchildren with homework and learning support across subjects, including math, science, English, and social studies.
