Yango Group Opens New African Regional Headquarters in Abidjan to Power African Growth

Daniil Shuleyko, CEO of Yango Group

UAE-based technology firm Yango Group has officially launched its new African regional office in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, marking a major milestone in the company’s strategic expansion across the continent.

The move underscores Yango’s deepening investment in Africa’s digital transformation and reaffirms its long-term commitment to developing inclusive, tech-driven ecosystems rooted in local realities.

Operating in over 30 countries worldwide, Yango now positions Abidjan as its continental hub to coordinate its growing footprint across Africa. The company currently employs about 200 staff across the continent and has outlined plans to significantly scale its local workforce and capabilities in the coming year.

“Africa was where our journey started—and today, we are investing in the future by making Abidjan home to our largest office in Africa and the centre of our strategy for the continent,” said Daniil Shuleyko, CEO of Yango Group. “Our strategy is to build digital ecosystems that empower countries from within—using global technologies, but always rooted in local realities.”

Since its African debut in Côte d’Ivoire in 2018, Yango has rapidly expanded into 16 African countries, building a comprehensive suite of digital services. The company offers a wide range of solutions—including ride-hailing, food delivery, navigation, e-commerce, and digital payments—consolidated into a single Super App that is already transforming local economies.

With Abidjan as its new base of operations, Yango aims to tailor these services to better meet the unique needs of each African market while strengthening entire value chains.

A cornerstone of the company’s strategy is the fusion of advanced global technology with local insight, enabling it to develop platforms that unlock new economic opportunities for drivers, couriers, small businesses, and consumers.

In addition to service expansion, Yango is also placing a strong emphasis on talent development as a driver of sustainable growth. It is scaling its flagship Yango Fellowship program to a pan-African level, aiming to equip hundreds of thousands of young Africans with in-demand digital skills.

Abidjan will now serve as the program’s continental coordination and training centre, offering structured learning opportunities designed to empower the next generation of tech leaders across Africa.

“Our mission goes beyond providing digital services,” Shuleyko added. “By investing in talent and skills, especially among young people, we’re helping build the foundation for long-term innovation and self-sustaining digital ecosystems across Africa.”
