The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Hon. Samuel Nartey George (MP), has officially confirmed his participation in the upcoming Alumni Homecoming of the Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU), scheduled for May 6–11, 2025, at the university’s main campus.
This announcement follows a courtesy call by the GCTU Alumni President, Magdalene Lamptey, who extended the formal invitation to the minister on April 14, 2025. During the visit, Madam Lamptey expressed the alumni’s excitement and commitment to making the event a meaningful celebration under the theme “Celebrating Legacy, Embracing the Future of Technology”.
The alumni leadership emphasised the importance of Hon. George’s involvement, citing his role in driving Ghana’s digital agenda as a vital link between academia, alumni, and national development.
In response, the minister warmly accepted the invitation, commending GCTU for its outstanding contribution to training competent professionals in communication technology.
He acknowledged the university’s strategic role in Ghana’s digital transformation journey and pledged his full support toward strengthening ties between the institution and the country’s broader tech ecosystem.
The Honourable Minister expressed optimism about the upcoming event, looking forward to an engaging and impactful homecoming celebration with GCTU’s past and present stakeholders.
