U.S. President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. has announced a distinguished delegation to attend the inauguration of Ghana’s President-Elect, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
The ceremony, set for January 7, 2025, in Accra, will mark Mahama’s return to power after a hard-fought electoral victory.
Leading the delegation is The Honourable Shalanda D. Young, Director of the United States Office of Management and Budget. Young’s leadership in the delegation reflects the importance the Biden administration places on Ghana as a strategic partner in West Africa.
