Organisers of PramFest, led by founder Ishmael Darpoh, have paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, to officially invite him to this year’s festival.
The visit took place ahead of the highly anticipated event, scheduled for August 29–30, 2025, at Mandela Road, Prampram.
During the meeting, the team fondly reflected on the minister’s earlier career in the entertainment industry, a background that made the engagement both warm and personal. Hon. Sam George, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, graciously accepted the invitation and confirmed his participation.
He emphasised the profound role music plays in shaping societies, influencing emotions, and preserving cultural identities. “Music is more than art—it is a language of the heart that binds communities together,” he remarked.
Outlining the vision for the event, Mr Darpoh described PramFest as “more than just an annual celebration” but rather “the heartbeat of the community and a continental force that connects people through creativity, collaboration, and powerful storytelling.”
“This year’s edition promises an exciting experience, with live performances from talented artists, interactive art installations, cultural exhibitions, and a wide variety of local food and drinks. The festival will cater to all ages, ensuring everyone creates lasting memories,” Mr Darpoh said.
He added, “PramFest is more than entertainment—it’s a platform for expression, connection, and joy. We want the pulse of the city to beat louder, giving young voices a stage and building a generation that moves together—stronger, bolder, and more inspired.”
