The Kwesimintsim District Police Command in the Western Region has arrested a man, Anthony Acquah, for allegedly murdering his 17-year-old brother, Francis Mensah, at Mampong-Pepease, a suburb of Sekondi, on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
According to a police report, Acquah is alleged to have stabbed his younger brother to death around 6:00 p.m. after a misunderstanding. He reportedly fled the scene immediately after the incident and went into hiding.
A police statement issued on Thursday, August 21, confirmed that intelligence-led operations led to Acquah’s arrest on August 20, 2025, at his hideout in Kojokrom, near Sekondi.
The suspect is currently in custody and assisting police with investigations.
