OSP Summons Paul Adom-Otchere Over Airports Revenue Audit Contract

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has invited the former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Paul Adom-Otchere, for questioning in connection with an investigation into a controversial revenue assurance audit contract.

In a letter dated July 25, 2025, the OSP identified Mr. Adom-Otchere as a suspect in a case involving alleged corruption and corruption-related offenses linked to a contract between GACL and an unnamed private firm.

Confirming the invitation in an interview with Citi Newsroom, Mr. Adom-Otchere said he is expected to appear before OSP investigators at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31.

He, however, dismissed the invitation as part of a “witch-hunt,” insisting he played no role in the contract’s approval or execution.

“I didn’t sign any contract. It was signed by the Managing Director. I wasn’t even aware it had been executed,” he stated, questioning why he, as a former board chair, is the focus of the probe while management officials who were “directly involved” have not been targeted.

The OSP is yet to provide further details on the scope or findings of the investigation, but the case adds to a growing list of public sector procurement and accountability issues under scrutiny.
