Nana B Sues Mahama Over ‘Unconstitutional’ Job Terminations

The National Organiser of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye popularly known as Nana B, has taken legal action against President John Dramani Mahama over what he calls the unlawful termination of appointments of individuals employed before and after December 7, 2025.

Nana B argues that the directive, issued by the Chief of Staff on February 10, 2025, is unconstitutional and exceeds the Chief of Staff’s authority.

Citing Article 191(b) of the 1992 Constitution, which protects public sector employees from unfair dismissal, Boakye maintains that neither the Chief of Staff nor the President has the legal power to arbitrarily revoke legitimate appointments.

He is asking the Supreme Court to:
