Ghanaian gospel musician Perez Musik has expressed concern over how economic hardship and hunger are affecting the spiritual lives of many young people in the country.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz with Doreen Avio and Kwame Dadze, the Hewale Lala hitmaker said that although young people have a desire to serve God, their difficult living conditions make genuine worship increasingly challenging.
“One thing that’s making it difficult for them to worship is hunger,” Perez Musik said.
He explained that many youths are struggling to survive daily, and this reality often overshadows their spiritual devotion and participation in church activities.
According to him, faith alone is not enough — the Church and society must also address the physical and emotional needs of young people to sustain their commitment to God.
“If we empower young people economically, we will see a stronger generation of believers who are more dedicated to God’s work,” he added.
