Gospel Singer Diana Asamoah Encourages Wives to “Slay” for Their Marriages

Ghanaian gospel singer Diana Asamoah has urged women, especially Christian wives, to enhance their marriages by putting effort into their appearance. Speaking on UCook over the weekend, she emphasized that times have changed, and the stereotype of Christians neglecting their looks is outdated.

Asamoah shared her journey of reevaluating her views on fashion after gaining a deeper understanding of the Bible, which she believes does not oppose good style. “Slay in your dressing so that your husband does not leave you. It’s not always the devil who destroys marriages; sometimes it’s how a woman presents herself,” she explained. “Even in the kitchen, you should look good.”

She discussed her shift towards a more vibrant lifestyle, stating, “Embracing flair and style aligns perfectly with Christian values. I used to think dressing shabbily indicated spirituality, but I’ve learned that this isn’t true.”

Her evolving understanding of God has led her to recognize that people are drawn to faith not only through words but also through one’s appearance and confidence. “Our outward expression can be a powerful testimony, inspiring others to seek God,” she added.
